6 Main Characteristics Needed to Be Successful:
1. Grit: By definition grit means to have courage and resolve; strength of character.
How much grit do you have to make sure you are successful? Are you going to let those nay-sayers keep telling you what you can and cannot do? Or are you going to pull yourself up “by the boot straps” and ensure you get what your heart desires?
2. Perseverance: Steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
No matter how hard things get, are you going to continue? Are you going to give up just because what you’re learning is hard? Oh this path was a bit rougher than you expected, but are you willing to continue? No matter what is in your way, how bad do you want it? How hard are you willing to work?
3. Strength: quality or state of being strong; a good or beneficial quality or attribute of a person or thing.
Strength is not only about your physicality’s, it’s also about your mentality. Do you give up easily? Are you negative? Do you lift up those around you? Are you spreading positive vibes?
4. Organized: Arranged in a systematic way, especially on a large scale; having one’s affairs in order so as to deal with them efficiently.
Can you keep track of important documents and dates? Can you maintain a schedule? If not, is there someone who you can trust to delegate these tasks to? Being organized is an underappreciated skill.
5. Flexible: Capable of bending easily without breaking; able to be easily modified to respond to altered circumstances or conditions; ready and able to change so as to adapt to different circumstances.
If things don’t go how you planned, are you going to bounce back with a back-up plan? Can you easily make adjustments? Are you adaptable to different circumstances?
6. Determination: Firmness of purpose, resoluteness; the process of establishing something exactly, typically by calculation or research.
In combination with all the above, how determined are you to achieve your goal? Have you conducted continuous research? Do you have an idea of how you wish to be established? How firm are you that this goal will be achieved?
